My throat feels so terrible..it has worsen. Well..I didn't do any justice to my throat. Hmm..bought lozenges da other day, but at the same time bought Cadbury Black Forest Chocs! And I had BK and Mac for the last few days. And yesterday, I ate barbequed food. Not good indeed!
Luqman had invited Alisa, Sharifah, Ismail & myself to his and Mubarak's birthday celebration at East Coast. I finished my work later than usual on Fri and yest. So, yest I decided to rest first before the BBQ.
I took a cab from home...and had to fork out $22!!! Due to the V-day crowd...agghh...can't blame the couples, there is not much choice left. I reached there about 7.20pm. I took a stroll since Mazni told me that she hasnt reached there yet. I wouldn't want to be alone there with ppl I dunno. I went to Marine Cove, and bought a top (spent again!)
At about 8pm, I made my way there. There were lots of people...trying hard to search for Luqman or his sister, Mazni. I saw Luqman, who was talking on his mobile, and I juz stood in front of him.
Thank goodness! I saw Azlina, who works in the same building. She was glad I was there too cos she dunno anyone. She was there with her boyfriend, who is Luqman's BMT mate, Fauzi. We chatted a lot...till I excused myself to say hi to Luqman's parents, Mazni and Mubarak.
I joined her later...she was trying her best to socialise. We talked to one of Man's frens, Farhana. Nice girl..waiting for her O level results. The 3 of us exchanged nos. And coincidentally Azlina's parents knew Luqman's parents. They used to have a food stall in Jurong East.
I found out a lot about Azlina yest. She is a 25yrs old, stays in Bt Batok, if I'm not mistaken. She took ECE in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and, she and her boyfren were from Greenridge Sec. Seems like our paths nearly crossed few years back ;p
After Farhana and Azlina left, I sat down with Mazni and her mum. Mazni said "Nani, it's nice of you to come...alone." I know what she meant.
Before Alisa and gang came, I was being introduced to a few gals...who seems to know me for a long time. Constant phrases like "Oh...Hi Nani!" before I could even mention my own name!
I would say it was an interesting experience..and tiring too.
