Frust!!! Hate technology sometimes! Especially wen da least unexpected things happen..I took over a 100 photos but only 70+ yg can be retrieved. The other 40 gone! Card error...Geramnya!!!
And it must be photos taken at the Perth's Botanic Garden, King's Park right?!!! The carpeted grass, da beautiful flowers, da huge trees...sigh...nasib nasib. I will think twice before I lay my butt on da grass in Spore. Ok...I have to get over it! Nasib ada videocam.
Anyway,da trip was great...treated like royalty by my relatives there (Cik Marmah & Family). Cik Izhar (the husband) took us out everyday except Thurs and didnt work for those days. And when we wanted to give money, he turned us down.
1st day (Mon, 21st June)
We reached Perth at abt 2pm. It was the first time Haikal and Mum naik airplane so they felt uncomfortable when their ears got blocked. It became painful for Haikal for a few mins.
My uncle fetched us fr da airport. It was abt half an hr ride to Ballajura. It wasn't that cold when we get there. Probably, about 8 degrees celcius. Pretty excited to meet my cousins whom I have not met for more than 8years I think.
Tiba aje at his place, my cousins Marzuki (16yrs old) and Isma (13yrs old) were waiting for us at the door. They were excited as well to meet us. The youngest, Iffah (7yrs old) came back at about 3.30pm. Cik Marmah finally came back at 4.30pm...so good to see her!
Since it was winter, the day was pretty short. 5.20pm dah Maghrib! We went for a night drive to Perth city and Kings Park. Excellent view of the city from Kings Park. Reminds me of Mt Faber w/o the view of da flats.
2nd day (Tues, 22nd June)
This time we went to the city in the day. Must-go places are Murray St, Hay St and London Court. Then, off to King Park where we can see the city from there. We walked on the bridge (tree top walk)...(sigh...reminds me of my photos!)
We visited a mosque in I cant remember which town...I think Rivervale. Usaha by the orang Boyan who stayed there. Bumped into a distant relative of my arwah Datuk (paternal). Learn a lot from the "Obak" the lifestyle in Perth, Christmas Island and the Bawean Island itself.
3rd day (Wed, 23rd June)
We went to Cohunu Koala Park. I banyak lari...lari dari all da animals there. Emu, geese, deers, kangaroo! Heehee..
After Cohunu Koala Park, we went to Mirrabuka. This was great! Shopping spree at K-Mart sampai $200! (Not me!)
4th day (Thurs, 24th June)
We followed a tour to Wave Rock. It's a 4hr drive from Perth City. We had to be in the city by 6.30am...that was cold, about 1-2 degrees! The ride to Wave Rock was great cos we drove by farms and orchards. The scenery was simply fabulous. At the foot of the Avon Valley, it was terribly cold and foggy. According to the tour guide, during winter it can drop to below 0 degree, and during summer a temp of 40 degree! Extreme huh?
5th day (Fri, 25th June)
My cousins took the day "off" from school to take a trip down to Bussleton. It's a 3-hr drive from Ballajura. The sun was shining brightly, but the cool breeze forced to me put on my cardigan. My cousins played their boomerang at the beach. They have the longest jetty (in Western Aust, I think) there. We are supposed to take a tram down to the end of the jetty but we missed the timing so we gave it a miss.
After that, we went further up to Bunbury. Wow...the beach is so beautiful! My mum luv it there! We envy those with their houses juz a step away from the beach.
6th day (Sat,26th June)
Look forward to this day actually..to Fremantle wkend market. There are stalls selling food from kebabs to wantan noodles, fruits (fresh and preserved), chemists, souvenirs and handicraft shops, etc. I bought my Blackmores Primrose oil for only AUD$19.95 (190 capsules)! Bought souvenirs, butterscotch toffee-flavoured coffee, and banyak lagi.
Off to the nearby Fremantle Prison. The tour was an interesting 2 hrs. Worth it!
Nearby, there is another weekend market calld E-shed market. Not as interesting as the Fremantle market though. Very quiet. Though my mum managed to get souvenirs from a souvenir shop owned by an Indonesian lady. And the kebab from the food mall was yummy! Then, just across the carpark, a place for my cousins, bro and uncle to fish. Haikal managed to catch 3! That became our dinner when we got home.
We had a karaoke session that nite at home. Kena paksa nyanyi!
7th day (Sun, 27th June)
Off to city again for last minute shopping. And found out that there was a halal Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, only Marzuki and I love Jap food so we had to forgo it for the sake of the other hungry ppl. Went home early cos my relatives were craving for my mum's Nasi Briyani.
8th day (Mon, 28th June)
We woke up extra early to bid goodbye to Cik Marmah before she goes to work. Of course, my mum and aunt cried when they hugged each other. Isma told her dad that she will feel so lonely when we go back. Aww...I miss them already!
Reached SG at 8+..feel so tired. The next day, after Subuh, I slept rite thru till 1pm before Zohor! Rindu kan my bed and terkilan nak tdo gaknya! hehee
That was my first time to WA and I noe it wont be the last time. Insya'Allah kalau ada rezeki boleh gi lagi. (Amin!)
