REAL-LIFE DRAMA!

It was the usual drag-myself-to-office feeling, with mid-week blues (macam2 eh?!!). Was the 1st to reach the office, then...15 mins later, Lily came with her roti prata, which she will nvr get sick of! Heehee...

Lily was abt to leave her desk to wash her hands when a Chinese woman in her mid-30s (I think), carrying a baby girl. She comfortably plop herself on the sofa. I was bz listening to my Nawal CD...so Lily asked her if we could help her. She replied she was tired and wanted to rest first. Curious, Lily asked again for her purpose of coming to our office. She rattled off about being giddy, thirsty, needed to ask warm water to prepare milk for her baby. For a split second, tot that she mistook our office for a clinic. But I dismissed that thought cos...how could anyone be so stupid.

The baby kept crying and crying non-stop. We immediately knew..something was not right. Thankfully, July came in! Phew...we were so worried! She seem to be agitated by the time Intan came. She asked me "Can I register myself here?" Smiling, I asked "Pardon?" I kena marah! "Why are you laughing?!!" dia tanya! Uggghhhhh...was pissed off and at da same time nervous by then. July, calmly, explained to her dat our centre is a tuition centre for children.

Then, she went to our brochure stand and grabbed a PILE of forms n brochures. Intan couldnt stand it so she snatched it from her. We told her to leave, but instead she sat outside our office. Her sis-in-law came but the "xiao" woman refuse to let her hold the baby. The sis-in-law left n da mother n daughter were alone again. For fear that she would do something to da innocent baby, we told her to come in (again!) By that time, we had already informed the police...who are really taking their own sweet time! Agaknya kalau perempuan tu bawa sharp obj, satu2 kat ofis dah kena!

July layan dat woman, asked her whats wrong n all...so told her life story, some of which are not really true (Intan talked to da sis-in-law at da first floor). Macam counsellors pulak diorang! The xiao woman started crying and all...I had to pass her tissue, and finally got her a drink. Seram jugak nak dekat dgn dia. Silap2 she grabbed me! Doa banyak2 aje...

Abang2 and kakak2 cleaner (about 6 of them I think) came at the right time...or not! The woman had calmed down..dats what we thought. So, Lily & I were so engrossed reading our e-mails to finally start the day.
The xiao woman suddenly seem to change to a totally diff person. She stood up, holding her baby, walked wit a straight face and juz barged into one of the rooms. You noe what she reminds me of?!! If u watched cite hantu, hantunya mesti glide wit a straight / expressionless face. Terperanjatkan the cleaners who were bz vacuuming n wiping the windows. Lily and I went in straight into the room.
Lily tried to tell her to leave the room. But that woman seemed to be eyeing on the opened window in the classroom, which was large enough for them both to jump off. Hati rasa tak tenteram seh. I was at the other side of the room, explaining to one of the cleaners, the exact drama that was happening.
She suddenly laughed when Lily told her to leave the classroom. She tried to twist and turn by saying.."haha! u said office. this is a classroom nt office!" Sempat dia loyar buruk pulak tu! GERAM! Then she said seriously "I want to see what u r all trying to do. Are u all really working or trying to trick me...MCDS dun wanna help me. I saw...u r all laughing at me just now." Ler! MCDS punya pasal jadi masalah kita pulak!
She finally agreed to leave...but it was all a trick. Dia masuk balik! Thankfully, the police had arrived by then (wat took them so long!). They went in and managed to get her out of the classrm. On her way out, she tore out our classes schedule from behind one of the doors. She rattled on the content of the A4 paper.
The Indian police officer took the baby away from her, and gave it to the sis-in-law. The Chinese policeman talked to her and layan her like asking, how much do they charge tuition, etc. Something that the xiao woman said really made me laugh! She saw our tagline and said "see...they will help people to achieve..." Must tell my mktg manager to change our tagline! hahaha!!! And Alhamdulillah, the woman agreed to leave the office wit the police officers. Before she left, she apologised "Thks for letting me rest. And sorry ah...to make you all so stress." Huh?!!
From the "interview" Intan had done with the sis-in-law, this is what she had gathered:
- that woman came knocking on her sis-in-law's place (where her mum is staying) in Bt Batok at 5am!
- caused a commotion too wit police and all (so ours was the 2nd time the family had to file a report)
- dragged her mum to bt panjang by cab
- purpose: to visit relatives (when she doesnt have any in bt pjg)
- left her mum at the coffeeshop, while she hunt for the "lucky one" (US?!!)
- 2-mths old baby hadnt had anything since early morn
- she's a widow, her children stays with her ex-husband
- the baby is born out of wedlock wit her m'sian boyfren
- da boyfren came over few days back to "kacau" her
- where does she stay? HOUGANG!
What a day it was! Thks to her we had our morning occupied and time flies fast! : )
