I watched my will-never-miss Gilmore Girls last Sunday. In that episode, Rory was often asked "aren't you attached?", "seeing anyone?", "don't you feel lonely being single?", etc. Frustrated, Rory's response would be "I'm happy being alone", "What's wrong with being alone?"...even Emily, her grandma, matchmade her with some jerk.
Personally, people around me would ask such questions. It doesn't help that all my siblings are attached (other than my 11-yr old bro of course!) It's not as if it was my choice to be single. It's just a twist of fate..somewhere along the road. Life's gotta teach you something...and life's so fond of teaching you the hard way :p
And like how my fellow poetic blogger, Ejal described (brilliantly done) in his poem:
"Fate,
things beyond our control.
It happens,
a sudden rushed that sucked you straight to a loophole...
Wished that i cud see what's gonna happen!
At least i cud have done something.
My heart feels the agony, bitter n swollen,
all these just undoubtedly not welcoming.
Life is full of surprises,
beyond the psyche of our mind.
Things that normally happen,
not always clear and pure divine.
Fate,
the things that we will never comprehend. "
It's just a matter of time. God is fair...
Surah Ar-Rum (verse 21) -- And among His Signs is this that He created for you mates from among yourselves that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts); verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.
