GOODBYE TO MAY WEEKEND GETAWAYS

In May, there will be 2 looong weekends! Labour Day and Vesak Day cos the holidays fall on Sundays...so holiday in lieu is on Mondays. Woohoo! It's even longer for people who work on a 5-day work week :p like Lisa! (I need a new job huh?)

For any other previous long weekends, I would have planned way in advance for a short getaway, either with my best friends or my brother, Ayie. BUT, this time it's different. I have a presentation (religious class) on 1st May and exams on 22nd May. Spoiler!

I am missing KL...the food especially and not forgetting, the shop-till-drop experience @ Masjid India. Well...got to settle for something consolation. Dapat jejak tanah Malaya pun jadi lah.

Last Monday, was Hafiz's day off and mine...so apa lagi merayap lah! So thankful that there is 170 bus service. Everytime you board and alight the bus, just tap your EZ Link Card. First stop was Larkin. Managed to grab a few interesting religious books. I wanted to get another one but they don't keep stock of the English version. Got myself a pretty pink shawl.

Then, it's DUNKIN DONUTS time! Mocha frost & vanilla frost...yummy!

Then, off to City Square. We walked around until both were hungry enough to have our lunch. Marrybrown! Dah lama tak makan kat sana...Hafiz had Nasi Ayam, and me Black Pepper Chicken hotplate. (Wish they had Nandos in City Square though!)

Went to Season straight after lunch before I forget to buy my must-have Portuguese Egg Tarts! I would cry and cross the causeway again if I had forgotten to buy those tarts! hehe...I bought 2 packs of 6 tarts. Enough to fulfil my one-month craving I think :p We ended earlier than expected. Perfect timing...we reached SG just in time for me to rest and gear up for my driving.
