AMBROSIA?According to dictionary.com, the word ambrosia means:
1. based on Greek & Roman Mythology - the food of the gods, to confer immortality
2. something with an especially delicious flavour or fragrance
3. a dessert containing primarily oranges and flaked coconuts
Just curious to know what it's meaning was. But anyway, Hafiz and I went to Ambrosia Cafe last night. It's located at the end of Bussorah Street (where Cafe Samar used to be). We had our dinner at the 2nd level. The lights were dim..very very dim! (That explains why I have no photos here) I'm the type who's curious to know what's inside my food. I think that's the whole idea huh? other than the ambience.
Not a surprise, I ordered Dory Fish with Coriander and Herb sauce over it, with Pilaf. Hafiz ordered Pastaccio. It sounds like Pistacchio. It's actually beef lasagne with tomato chunks on it. It's simply "ma ma mia!" The mango milkshake was superb!
I saw cheesecake on the menu and requested for the waiter to leave one menu at our table. But by the time, I finished my food...I was too full and sleepy. The cushions do not help to keep me awake! Hafiz started to sneeze. It's the smokers around us. Nope, it's not shisha but cigarettes.
We stayed there for an hour only and had a nice walk down to Bugis Street. I was too sleepy to walk to Little India or take a ride down to Geylang, which I had earlier enthusiastically begged Hafiz to go :p
Semangat 2 minit aje!We had a great time...it's not always that we can go out cos of our busy schedules. Syukur Alhamdulillah we get to spend some quality time together.
