WHERE IT BELONGS...
The grandfather's clock which is 70+ years old, is finally proudly hung in my living room. It's my late paternal grandfather's clock. It's been 21yrs since he left us and almost a yr that Nenek left us.
Everybody's been bugging my uncle for the clock. He has safely stored the clock in my late grandpa's flat in Bt Purmei, where my uncle is still staying. Alhamdulillah, finally it's with us..just like what my paternal grandfather had wished.
Taking an off day earlier today was not wasted. Dad spent time talking about the clock, arwah atok who is well known for his
miraculous carpentry skills and how he invented the "parot2 kelapa" in his village and sold to the Chinese shop owners; about my
late great grandfather's burial in Bawean - it was raining heavily but the people who helped in the burial didnt even get wet until they "amin" their last doa for him.
Berkat orang yang tak pernah lalai dengan ibadahnya. And I almost forgot that my
Dad had a younger brother (arwah Cik Suhaimi) who passed away when he was only 2yrs old due to high fever...how my dad used to dote on him, buying his favourite tidbits everytime my dad comes home from school, how he loved eating bread and drinking milk from the Chinese coffeeshop. Too bad there's no photo of him at all.
I could sense gentleness thru my dad's eyes. Something I didn't see for quite some time. And that made my eyes watery. Dad didnt notice it though.
Reasons: 1) I miss my grandparents 2) I could sense Dad misses his parents, grandfather and brother whom he only managed to love for a short while 3) I sense him missing the quality bonding time he had with his family...something that a lot of people are neglecting now.
To all those who have returned to Him earlier, moga sentiasa dirahmati Allah dan digolongkan bersama mereka yang beriman. Insya'Allah. Amin...
