Weekend Getaway

Refreshed, recharged, rejuvenated...wish I can be in this mode all the time!

Nevermind that it's just for one night, nevermind that it's just across the waters in nearby Batam. Great company, a breakaway from office deadlines and tons of housework....it was perfect enough.

The much-needed spa getaway finally materialised. Staying at Holiday Inn Batam was a first for me and Zee. When the hotel staff who assisted with the checking in, mentioned 'I shall give you a free upgrade to Deluxe Suite' it was music to our ears. I'm sure if I was heartless, I would have juz left Zee there and dash to our room! Hehe...but I'm not :)

We were like kids who juz discovered a new playground...running ard the room. Love the toilet (looks so 'sleep-able') and wow...king size bed, 2 TVs, genuine cable TV! Of course, we were comparing to our hotel room back in Phuket (budget!)

After settling our stuff, we went to DC Mall and Nagoya Hill Mall. We stuffed ourselves with A&W curly fries,waffle ice cream and fried chicken. We shopped for drinks, fruit cordial, Indomie and teh botol. That was enough to make our bags heavy.

At 8pm, was the time that we've been counting down to...2 1/2hrs spa - foot massage, body scrub,full body massage. That was the 1st time ever that I really dozed off during a spa. I was in lala-land or to be exact, imagining myself in Bali at one of the beaches.

Waking up early the next morning wasn't that difficult. But when it was noon, both of us were yawning away. That happens when you are only asleep at 3.30am. Ferry ride home...we were both in our own worlds.
