Historical moments1. Naniz went to the library?!!!Spent the whole of my Saturday doing a research on Salahuddin Ayubi....in the library! For a person whose eyes would roll after a mere half an hr of reading, it was an achievement. I'm glad I chose this great Muslim warrior as my assignment topic.
I have passion for history - anything historic..European, Asian, Ancient, etc.
That explains why I ended up reading the reference book in the library instead of just using it as quick reference. 1 day isn't enough. I have to go back to the library again. Definitely an important milestone in the life of Naniz - 'Days in the Library'. hehe....
2. Naniz bowled & played futsalJaws dropped I see? I can't believe it myself! 2 company events in one day, last Sat. Bowling in the morning with some staff from the parent company. Then a break for about 3 hrs and we played futsal in East Coast Park futsal pitch. I participated in 6 futsal games I think, each last for 5 minutes.
Only 5 minutes?! I thought it wasn't a tough call. When I went into the pitch, played for 2 mins, I was panting. I wasn't the only one. For a women-dominated company with only 9 men, you hear more screaming of Agghhh and see more of handballs. We all smell of secondary school kids who just had their Physical Education. The public must have laughed at our outrageous, so not-pro antics.
The healthy living fever has caught me. I bought a weighing machine (afraid of increasing weight), bought a skipping rope (with counter), rejoined my pilates class (for nearly a mth now).
Looking forward to a good, long long break away from work in June. Counting down...
